Top-rated Upper East-based Dancehall phenomenal, born Sulemana Zulkanain but known professionally as Ratty Bangarang appears to have rekindled the flames of the feud which he earlier distanced himself from a couple of weeks ago following a challenge thrown out by Star girl, Alapta Wan.
Ahead of the release of a single dubbed “Yah Man” from a project he is currently working on, Bangarang acclaimed himself the King of the Dancehall Throne and proclaimed the rest as his subjects.
“Yah Man” is a phrase from the Jamaican Patois translated as a salutation acceptance. This banger will therefore help him spread the message to all and sundry around and beyond his territorial boundaries, confirming his tight grip on the Dancehall title, with validation and approval from the people giving him much more supremacy over his compatriots.
Bangarang has already established himself as one of the strong dancehall figures in the north following his triumph in a Tamale-based TV station reality show dubbed “Sagani TV Chop Da Mic”.
His works since then have always been duly accepted by music patrons across entire Northern Ghana and beyond with his multilingual prowess and his control over the Jamaican Creole making it easy to always attract fans to his music.
“Yah Man” might be an acceptance of Alaptawan’s challenge which Bangarang initially rejected claiming he wouldn’t “waste his time and energy on an amateur”.
