I Reply To Yvonne Nelson’s Allegations To Sit On It But It Was Leaked – Sarkodie

Building Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has opened up about the circumstances surrounding the release of his response to Yvonne Nelson‘s allegations in his latest song “Try Me.”

According to the ‘Non-Living Thing’ rapper, he initially recorded the track as a personal response to Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, “I AM NOT YVONNE NELSON.”

Speaking with Angela Yee on the Way Up Show in the U.S., Sarkodie shared that he recorded the Diss Track with the intention of keeping it private, giving himself time to contemplate its release.

“I did it just to hold on to I and see if I’m going to release it but when it came out, I said let me just put it out,” he shared

The rapper was on tour at the time, and late one night around 2:00 am, he discovered that the track had leaked on Twitter, causing a frenzy among fans and social media users.

“Where I was it was very late like 2:00 am and then I see Twitter going crazy, I had no idea because I didn’t give to…” he said, “So I have like 2, 3 people that I don’t want to suspect because it’s going to create some energy”

Initially, Sarkodie was taken aback by the leak, as he had not planned to release the track publicly at that moment.
